Pat and Prescilla got more children involved in theater with their wonderful work at Morse High School presentations! Beyond that work, they truly cared about people. I had the great pleasure of working in BIW design under Pat's leadership. I never knew a man that was as fair as Pat. He believed in people and always found a way to get their best while earning their respect. A wonderful man that I will always think of in the highest regard! Rest in peace.

I was so sorry to hear of Pat's passing. He was a joy to know, and to work with. My heart goes out to all his friends and family.

Pat was such an incredibly talented and generous technical theatre engineer! Dane and I learned so much from Pat and Priscilla and considered them our mentors from the first time we met at a Morse One Act Play Festival. Over the years our friendship grew from seeing them every March to Drama Council Meetings and summer visits to the Theatre at Monmouth. We fondly remember dinners at Curley's and long discussions about plays and high school theatre. They celebrated the birth of our youngest daughter Molly, and we celebrated the wedding of their youngest Peggy Jo.
After Priscilla died, we saw Pat less frequently but somehow managed to attend Maine State Music Theatre performances on the same night every few years. We miss them both and always remember them with great joy!

So much of our lives intertwined with Pat and Priscilla. Pat was the quieter, calmer (usually) half of an amazing team. Much laughter, tears, and shared joy with both of them - and amazing respect for a man who achieved the impossible onstage and embraced the possible offstage. Love to all of you - Pam, Tory, and Peggy Jo - and your families; you had a terrific dad who loved you dearly. Fond love from Maine.

Priscilla always said that "his heart is in his hands" whether he was designing scenery or lights. The two of them were such a force in Maine theatre in the 70s and 80s. Everyone wanted to do a "Montgomery Show": they knew that it would be a blast working with Priscilla and that the scenery would be outstanding. I learned so much from both of them. She pushed me harder than anyone and Pat always sent a big 'hello' to me through Schooner Fare after he lit their concerts at the Chocolate Church in Bath, Maine. His talents and friendship will be sorely missed.

I remember with such delight being part of the Brunswick Choral Society Gilbert and Sullivan productions. Without Pat and Priscilla, a whole part of my life would be empty. Pam Blake (Lady Jane, Ruth, Katisha, the Duchess)

I am so sorry.
I asked Pat to give me a referral when I was applying to Bath Iron Works '85. He said he knew Bert Hanson - and Priscilla jumped in and said "You mean you're asking PPPPPPat to give you a referral to (Bert had a speech defect and was hoarse, and she mimicked his scratchy throat) Bert?" I got the job.
I was 7 months pregnant with Sarah, so I wasn't in The Mikado '90, but they got to putting the set onstage at the Chocolate Church... and it wasn't painted. So I was up on a ladder, bulging, painting away... while Pat and his crew did light checks. They'd call out a number, and ... I couldn't see. I quickly decided to pick one of the numbers that gave me enough light, they'd call a number, then I'd call my number. Got the job done, but I could hear Pat laughing.
Pat was a great person to work with, and he and Priscilla made a great team. And they got performances out of people that didn't know they had it in them - until those lights came on.

I am so sorry to hear of Pat's passing. I met him 17 years ago at the Barn Theatre in Stuart, Florida. He was such a wonderful man who always had a smile on his face. I always called him a genius as his talent, artistry, technical abilities, and set designing went unmatched. I was sad when he left Florida, and even more so now that I've heard the news. Wishing his family finds peace in the memories they share with him. Sending love from Florida, Katie
