So sorry to hear about Gayle. I only met her a few times, but I have fond memories. I was lucky to make the journey from Canada to NJ along with Derek and family a few times. Gayle was always full of energy, inspirational, and of course funny! Glad I had the opportunity to meet Gayle - RIP

I will miss everything about Gayle, especially the funny things she said without even knowing it. She was a master at doing two things at once (hanging clothes or coloring while all the time looking at the clock for her next meal). Gayle was still in some ways living in the 60's. She knew every song and artist and the year the record was released; she could also go back in her mind and tell you what you were doing at that time. It was amazing to experience the uniqueness of her mind. If I wanted to know how old someone was I just asked Gayle. Her brain was like a computer, she never had to think, the information was stored and she would tell you without even looking up from what she was doing. Gayle was special and sweet and will be sadly missed.

Auntie Gayle was so full of energy. Every time our yearly visits rolled round Gayle would be there to greet us and unpack our bags, moving hangers around to make space and chatting away whilst she did so. Her daily routines provided a sense of familiarity and comfort (always Cheerios and half a grapefruit for breakfast). We would look forward to the visit to the shore and enjoy the spinning rides on the boardwalk (always remember to go on the inside!). I enjoyed the slower pace of life with Gayle; colouring, puzzle books and listening to music and watching Silver Spoons with Ricky Schroeder. It saddens me to have missed out on spending more time with her in the later years but I will never forget Auntie Gayle.

Aunt Gayle had an amazing memory. She could recount the names of many songs, their artists, the albums they were on, the dates they came out, and any events that happened on that day in her and her family’s lives. She was also really good at remembering birthdays!
Below is a picture of Aunt Gayle on the train at Smithville. I also have a video of her from this day in a store reciting all the names of the famous television stars that were pictured on a puzzle box. She didn’t get any wrong!
Every experience I shared with Aunt Gayle was a fun adventure. I will miss her greatly.

I have many loving, and mostly hilarious memories of spending time with Auntie Gayle. Our family' s favorite 2 weeks each year were our annual trips to visit Grandma and Grandpa Kimball in Bellmawr. And of course, Auntie Gayle. Gayle and I would listen to records by The Monkees, Rolling Stones, and many others. I always picture her sitting hunched down on the floor coloring or doing Math problems at lightning speed....anxiously awaiting the next Hershey's Kiss that would be coming her way!!!!! I'm sure that the people at CRAYOLA are pretty upset too...they lost their best lifetime customer!!!!!!!! I would bet that she went through about $1,000 a year in crayons...multiply that by 67 and you get the picture!!!!!!!!!
The highlight of our trips included a stay down at "The Shore", our beloved Wildwood. So many beautiful memories riding bikes on the boardwalk, swimming, going on rides. But I'm sure that if you asked Gayle what her fondest memory would be...she would reply "Salt Water Taffy?? I really wish that I could have spent more time with her in the later years..but no one can take these cherished memories from me of my "Auntie Gay-Gay". Your nephew Derek will always LOVE YOU.

Gayle liked chocolate ice cream and the Monkees, she was a whiz at math and liked to color.
She placed no value on money, didn't practice hate, and never noticed skin color.
The world could use a whole lot more Gayles.
Thank you, Gayle, for all you taught us.
You were much loved and will leave a big void in our hearts and lives.
Love,
Linda

Gayle was really funny without trying to be. I remember that Gayle was opening a birthday present that I bought her. One of the workers remarked,”Gayle, you can wear that sweater to church.” I said “I didn’t know you went to church.” She replied, “ yea, every STINKING SUNDAY!!”

It breaks my heart to hear about the passing of Gayle. I worked for The Arc back in 2017 and I had the pleasure of working with Gayle. Gayle was a very lovable, respectable, smart, funny, outgoing person who always keep me on toes, she became like a big sister to me. I remember how she would love to go for walks on the boardwalk, participating in social events and arts & crafts and she also loved to dance. Gayle had such a big heart and a beautiful personality, she will truly missed. R.I.P. Gayle. Love you! ❤.

Gayle made everyday a little better and each moment a little sweeter, to one or the kindest humans I have met, I thank you for all the memories, the laughs, your math skills and your pure soul. Morning tea time will not be the same ; to enjoy the little moments and be present is by far one of the many life experiences Gayle taught me. Gayle will forever be loved and missed !
