One of the best memories I have with Uncle Joe is being in a vacation rental down the shore, it was 2002, before Uncle Joe and Aunt Margie had the camper and condo. The crabs were cooking and all the sudden I could barely breath, was choking, couldn’t see, and my face and lips were numb from the Cayenne Pepper. I thought there was way too much pepper but the crabs were delicious and I still make them like that to this day. Uncle Joe was great at cooking and eating seafood, lol. The crabs in this picture were caught at Dias Creek two years ago. Uncle Joe, Aunt Margie, my mom Donna Rooney, and my Aunt Sally Kinney have all been crabbing there, and I’m sure other people in our family as well. The other picture is of the water next to the Scotch Bonnet bridge, the bridge that my family and I would always go crabbing on before it closed a few years ago. We have had many family crabbing trips on that bridge. Uncle Joe needed to get five crabs or he wasn’t taking them home. Great memories crabbing and fishing with my Uncle. He will be missed by so many, he lived a full and blessed life and was a great husband, father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather, Uncle, Veteran, and so much more. I will always miss him and will honor his memory by doing the right thing and living my life the right way. Goodbye Uncle Joe, Love always,
-Kyle
