I am so sorry to all of the family and friends of Kristin. She was truly a light in everyone's life and never let anything dull that light even after becoming sick. Kristin was a teacher that I will never forget. She was constantly upbeat and constantly growing to become better. She wanted everyone to love art and life as much as she did. I am not an artistic or creative person but that didn't stop me from taking her class all four years of high school because she still somehow made it fun! I will never forget our conversations and time together in high school. It was always such a positive welcoming feeling walking into her classroom. As I grew older, I had the opportunity to work at the HS with her and I am forever grateful for the few years I was able to work with her. She made every student feel special and never gave up on the ones who struggled. Even more so, she helped students rise above to become better and better just like she always tried to do for herself. She will truly be missed and walking past her room will never be the same. Prayers and hugs to all of you!

Kris (IMHO) really "saw" you when she interacted with you at work. I believe It is a gift to be able to make people feel they are actually "seen" in the most mundane situations. We live our lives in those small, mundane moments. I think her students knew that too. Kris "saw" them! I am truly saddened by her loss and the effect it has on all her loved ones. I worked with Kristen since 04 at West Deptford HS. She was such a positive, caring person. She always talked about how much she loved being Sophia’s Mommy. Even with her cancer diagnosis, Kristen was so positive and was an inspiration to us all. I’m so sorry for your loss.

Two years ago, I met Kristin at a lecture at the Hammonton Art Center where she discussed her design process. She was phenomenal and had so much to share.
I even had the opportunity to meet Kristin's students and talk to them about design.
Kristin inspired me in so many ways. Her students truly loved her. She was one of a kind, and just lived life like no one else. She was always gracious, full of energy, and excited to learn.
I'm so thankful for the memories I have with Kristin, and I will never forget everything she taught me about being a Mom, wife, artist, and teacher.
