Obituary of William George Robert Warren
William G R Warren, 80, of Mantua, New Jersey, passed away on Saturday, April 3, 2021, surrounded by his loving family.
Legacy
Wild Bill, as he was affectionately called was a devoted family man. Nothing was more important than "his girls", Faith, Janet and Dawn. They considered him their hero because it didn't matter when they needed him, he was always there for them. Many treasured memories were spent with aunts, uncles and cousins at their weekly Saturday night card games. Bill was a social butterfly and made friends easily; he could strike up a conversation with anyone. Bill loved tinkering with cars, bowling, fishing and crabbing.
Born in Camden, New Jersey, Bill was a life long resident of Mantua,. He was a proud United States Navy Veteran serving from 1958 - 1959. Prior to retiring in 1996, Bill was truck driver and a mechanic at Chemical Leaman Tank Lines in Bridgeport.
Family
Beloved husband of 60 years to Faith D. (nee Mathews); loving father of Janet Minner (Greg Zirbser) and Dawn M.
