Obituary of Sherry Jean Scirrotto

Sherry J. Scirrotto (nee Slaughter), a lifelong resident of National Park, NJ, born on April 16, 1952 passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at home surrounded by family and friends at the young age of 68.

Legacy

Sherry was a kind and selfless woman with a heart of gold. She was devoted to caring for and loving her family, especially her children, grandchildren and her favorite grand-dog Bailey Rose. Sherry enjoyed listening to country music and had a huge love for Blake Shelton. She also enjoyed shopping, going to yard sales, taking trips to Lancaster, Atlantic City beaches and casinos and to the Poconos with family and friends. She always looked forward to spending time with her family for Sunday dinners.

Family

Daughter of the late Frank E. Sr. and Jean Slaughter (nee Glover). She is the beloved companion to Bill Thompson who she loved deeply for the last 40 years; devoted and proud mother of Fran Scirrotto and Amanda Thompson (fiancé Ralph Rivello); dear sister of the late Frank E. Slaughter Jr.; very loving grandmother of Kristina, Eric and Amber Scirrotto and Ryan and Destiny Lee. Sherry is also survived by her loving nephew and god son Frank E. Slaughter III and daughter in law Dee Hulme, extended family and many cherished friends whom she all loved as family.

Sherry will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Farewell Tribute

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her visitation on Monday, April 19, 2021 at 9:00AM in the McGuinness Funeral Home - Woodbury, 34 Hunter Street. A Funeral Ceremony will be held at the funeral home at 11:00AM in the funeral home.  Interment Eglington Cemetery.
