Obituary of Rita H. Barrett
Rita H. Barrett, of Woodbury, New Jersey, passed away on Wednesday, April 28, 2021. She was 88.
Legacy
A selfless woman that was always there to lend a helping hand, Rita was prideful of her independence, and all of her accomplishments through life.
Born in Plymouth, Pennsylvania, her family moved to Camden where she graduated from Camden Catholic, Class of 1950. She and her husband, Donald, moved to West Deptford where they began their family and resided ever since. Rita liked taking casino bus trips to Atlantic City, she was a lover of animals, and enjoyed spending time with friends. Most of all, Rita cherished the time and memories made with her grandsons.
Rita's family wishes to thank the staff at Brightview Woodbury Lake and Bayada Hospice for their loving care given to their mother.
Family
Daughter of the late William and Loretta (Molyneaux) Hines, she was the beloved wife of 40 years to the late Donald P. Barrett; devoted mother of Donna Barrett and David Barrett and loving Nana to Daniel, Paul and Sean Barrett. Rita is also survived by cherished nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.
The youngest of 7 children, Rita is predeceased by her siblings William "Bill" Hines, Mary Kratz, Loretta Phillips, Margaret DiMattia, Catherine Hines and James "Jimmy" Hines.
