Obituary of Florence L Baxter

Florence L. “Flossy” Baxter (nee Cooper), 70, of Verga, New Jersey, passed away peacefully with family on Tuesday, May 25, 2021. 

Legacy

Florence was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.  She loved cooking and baking for her family.  She enjoyed making crafts, sewing, crocheting, scrap booking, making flower arrangements, and going to the Jersey Shore.  A member and treasurer of the Verga United Methodist Church, she would help with many fundraisers with the church.  She drove a school bus for over 20 years and finished out her life working as a court reporter.

Family

She is the beloved wife of over 40 years to the late John Crusier Baxter, Sr.  Devoted mother of John Crusier Baxter, Jr. (Casey), Thomas Baxter (Erin) and Jeffery Baxter.  Treasured grandmother of John III, Shelby, James, Noah, Emma and Finn.  Daughter of Marge and the late Walter Cooper.  Dear sister of Mark (Barbara), Joseph (Ginny), Robert (Margie), Jay (Chris), Sandy (Mike), Pamela (Steve) and Patricia (Bob).  She will be missed by family and friends.
