Obituary of Kenneth W. Johnston

Kenneth W. Johnston, of Sewell, New Jersey, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on Friday, May 28, 2021 after a very courageous battle with cancer.  He was 73.
 
Legacy
Always wearing a smile, Ken was the most caring and giving person.  He never hesitated to help others and enjoyed meeting new people.  
Ken proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.  
Ken looked forward to relaxing on the shore of the Sassafras River in Galena, MD with a champagne of beer - Miller High Life and catching up with friends or meeting new friends around the neighborhood.  He spent countless hours watching MSNBC,  he enjoyed betting on and watching horseracing and traveling with his wife and family.  
 
Family
He is the beloved husband of 52 years to Geraldine "Gerry" Johnston; devoted father of Mark Johnston (Melissa), Shawn Tezak (Manning) and Jennifer Ward (Matthew); dear brother to Bill Johnston and Barbara Bordoni; cherished grandfather to Hunter Johnston.  Ken is also survived by his 5 grand-dogs, extended family and dear friends he has met along the way.

Predeceased are his parents Elmer and Helen Johnston and his brother Gary Johnston. 
 
Farewell Tribute
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his visitation on Saturday, June 5, 2021 at 9:30AM in the McGuinness Funeral Home - Washington Township, 573 Egg Harbor Road. A Memorial Service will be held at the funeral home at 11:00AM.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network at pancan.org/KennethJohnston
