Obituary of Walter Reeve
Walter W Reeve, of Blackwood, NJ, passed away on Wednesday, June 16, 2021. He was 86.
Legacy
Walter was a lifetime member of the National Park Fire Department and served as both Chief and President over his time of service. He carried on the family tradition and was a crane operator for the NY Shipyard and spent most of his career in the Philadelphia Shipyard, where he retired after 25 years of service. Walter was a huge Phillies fan and will be remembered for being patriotic, cooking for his family during the holidays, reading the newspaper and dressing like Santa Claus during Christmas.
Family
He is the beloved husband of Margaret Jean (Amoroso) Reeve; loving father of Sharon Reeve, Susan (Anna) Reeve, Michael (Terita) Reeve, David (Elizabeth) Reeve, Christine Reeve and the late Debbie Reeve; cherished grandfather of Brian (Gina), Travis (Robbyn), Steven (Rachel) and great grandfather of Connor, Carley, Silas & Griffin; dear brother of James Reeve and the late Josephine Schweigart, Catherine Willis, Marion Slane and Wellington Reeve and survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Farewell Tribute
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his visitation at the McGuinness Funeral Home, 34 Hunter Street, Woodbury, NJ 08096 on Tuesday, June 22, 2021 from 10 am to 12 pm. Funeral service will begin at 12 pm. Interment will follow at Eglington Cemetery.
