Obituary of Lauro A Baliwas

On June 29, 2021, Lauro Araneta Baliwas got his wings and went to walk with the angels. He was 77 years old. He was born on August 18,1943 in Laguna Philippines.

Legacy

He retired from the U.S. Navy after 20 years of service. He then joined the United States Postal Service starting as a letter carrier and then became a mail handler and retired with 20 years of service. He was an active parishioner of Our Lady of Hope Parish at St. Agnes' Church in Blackwood, NJ.

He was an avid golfer and tennis player. He had a love for vacation and travel and assisting his CTI friends. He made everyone smile and laugh everywhere he went. He also loved his garden and he was always excited during spring and summer when he planted vegetables and flowers. He certainly did not disappoint when it came to wholeheartedly loving his family. He always made time for the babies and the kids. He made everyone smile and laugh everywhere he went. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who knew him.

Family

He is survived by his beloved wife, Mercedes (Sagun) Baliwas; and loving children, Laurie Michelle Baliwas, Randy Lou Baliwas; dear brother of Elena de Ramos, Rodrigo Baliwas, Adjutor Baliwas; cherished grandfather of Vincent and Nicholas Pilla, Breeanna, Dylan and Melanie Baliwas and great grandfather of Rowan Baliwas.  He  was preceded in passing by his parents, Macario and Eustaquia Baliwas, sister Julieta Baliwas and parent-in-laws Pedro and Dolores Sagun.

Farewell Tribute

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his visitation in the McGuinness Funeral Home, 573 Egg Harbor Road, Sewell, NJ 08080 on Tuesday July 6, 2021 from 6-8 PM.  A visitation will also be held prior to the funeral mass on Wednesday, July 7, 2021 from 9:45 AM to 10:45 AM at Our Lady of Hope Parish at St. Agnes Church (701 Little Gloucester Rd., Blackwood). For anyone who can not atend in person, may view it live by clicking ( HERE ). The Funeral Mass will begin at 11:00 AM.  Interment will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Chews Landing.
