Obituary of Jerry P. Hunt

Jerry P. Hunt, 79, of Sewell, NJ, passed away on August 7, 2021 after a battle with Parkinson’s Disease.  

Legacy

Jerry was born on October 31, 1941 to Lawrence and Rita Hunt in Philadelphia, PA. After growing up in Philadelphia and Upper Darby, he served in the U.S. Army Reserves and went on to graduate from St. Joseph’s University. In October, 1970, he married the love of his life, Mary (nee Roach). 

Jerry was a devoted husband and father. He was unendingly proud of his children and grandchildren and always did his best to support them. Jerry spent his retirement years living in NJ enjoying family, golf, fishing and travel.  

Family

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Mary, daughters Mary Beth (Dana) Rechen, Maureen Hunt, Judith (Jim) Kibelstis, son Gerald (Debbie nee Anmuth) Hunt, and 8 grandchildren: Brian, Erin, Kerry, Grace, Elizabeth, Katie, Michael and Ashley. Jerry was predeceased in death by his parents and his brother, Larry T. Hunt.

Farewell tribute

Family and friends are invited to a visitation on Thursday, August 12 2021 from 10:15 am to 11:15 am at Ss. Peter & Paul Church, 362 Ganttown Road, Sewell, NJ 08080.  Funeral mass will follow at 11:30 AM.  Interment will take place privately at Ss. Peter & Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA. 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude’s Hospital for Children, the National Shrine of St. Jude’s, or a charity of your choice.
