Obituary of Magdolna Torma

Magdolna Torma (Karner), of Sewell, NJ, passed away peacefully with family at her side on Thursday, August 26, 2021, at the age of 86.

Legacy

Magdolna was born in Jasd, Hungary, and emigrated to America with her husband during the Hungarian Revolution in 1956. She settled in Kenilworth, NJ where she worked full time and raised her family moving to Sewell, NJ upon retirement.

She was a hard-working, energetic woman who loved being with her family, especially spending time with her three grandchildren. She was an excellent cook and baker and also enjoyed line dancing with her Parke Place friends. She took pleasure crocheting and gifted many blankets, hats and scarves to family and friends as well as charities.

Family

She is the beloved wife of 64 years to Laszlo Torma; loving mother of Martha McGuire (John) and Mary Ann Gaffney (Dean); cherished grandmother of Brian, Christine and Sean, and great grandmother of Audrey; dear sister of Teresa Janus and the late Janos Karner, Maria Trojak and Joseph Karner.
