Obituary of Florence T. Hall

Florence T. Hall, of Philadelphia, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 15, 2021.  She was 79 years old.

Legacy

If you knew Florence, you would agree that she was a special woman in many ways. A selfless, caring soul who went out of her way to make sure you knew that she cared. A Sister of Saint Joseph's Convent, Chestnut Hill, for 20 years and a Hallahan high school, Class of 1960 Graduate. Following St. Joseph’s Convent, "Floss" became an 8th grade teacher at Maternity BVM and then a 5th grade teacher at Saint Joseph School in Cheltenham. Florence loved her students, always pushing them to Excel with a smile on her face and a “ding” of her bell. Following her retirement from teaching, Florence continued her life of service as an in-home caregiver and companion for Seniors Helping Seniors, Philadelphia. During her free time, she ran errands for neighbors and kept her friends company. A Christmas was not complete without Florence’s delicious cookie tray and Italian wedding soup that she would make for every family member to enjoy.
Florence was known by neighbors, friends and family for her overwhelming generosity, positive attitude and her witty sense of humor. Her kindness touched all who knew her and live on with through them forever.

Family

Beloved daughter of the late George and Michaelina Hall; loving sister of the late Frank Hall and George Hall; dear niece of Pete and Faye Tenuto.  Florence is survived by her nieces and nephews, Christine, Irene, George, Peter, Frank and Michaelina and many life friends.
