To the Family of Peter, My childhood in East Hartford, Ct was spent with Peter. I met him in kindergarten at Burnside School and graduated high school with him. Many days were spent over each other’s houses as we both lived on Tolland Street and embraced the carefree days of childhood. I recall in first grade, we decided we would get married someday, have 8 children and a red station wagon lol! Birthdays, first communion, class pictures, high school parties there’s Peter. I even have old 8mm home movies of him, Karen and a very young Mark. I only saw him once after we went to colleges in separate states but I often thought of my dear sweet friend through life and wished our paths crossed. This summer a group of high school friends tried to connect with him only to discover he was in hospice care. Please know how much Peter meant to his former friends. His gentle nature, sense of humor, intelligence and friendship have not been forgotten. Kathy(Dennison)Bonsant

Holly and family we are so sorry to hear about Peter. Especially sorry that we never got to reconnect or meet you and your family. Everyone that met Peter, adored him. A lot of us went to school with him from grammar to when we Graduated in 1976 at EHHS.We know he is and always be a shining star. From his East Hartford posse.

So very sorry to hear of my cousin Peter’s passing. I have many memories of the “Townley’s” coming to visit the family in New Bedford. Peter being the oldest of the kids was closest to my age and we played typical games during the visit. Peter was always a bright child and went on to be a phenomenal teacher. He and I would often share stories of our middle school students when I was teaching math. Peter was a loving son to my beloved aunt and uncle and a great big brother to Karen and Mark. RIP Peter.

So sorry for Holly and family
Such a wonderful wonderful man
A gentleman, scholar, teacher and an unmeasurable kind man. The lover of space and everything that came with it. Every time I ran into his room he’d explain all the little objects all over his classroom that he had saved over the years. Each one meant something dear to him
Heaven gained an angel and he'll be teaching again up there RIP Pete
