Obituary of Geraldine F. Schenberger
Geraldine F. Schenberger, (nee Burke) of National Park, New Jersey, passed away on Thursday, November 11, 2021. She was aged 77 years.
Legacy
Born in Philadelphia; Gerry was raised and has lived in National Park for the majority of her life. She worked for Underwood Hospital as a Dietician for many years until her retirement in 2009.
Gerry will be remembered as a wonderful, loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She was an avid Eagles and Phillies fan, cheering them on during the great and not so great years. Her kitchen was the heart of her home; where Gerry spent hours creating meals and baking sweets that her family enjoyed. Gerry was also a member of the National Park VFW Post #6884 Ladies Auxiliary.
Away from her work, Gerry enjoyed painting, doing ceramics, playing BINGO and Shuffleboard. Gerry always looked forward to her annual trip to Las Vegas and liked trying her luck in Atlantic City. Tuesday nights were reserved for her NCIS episodes and during those times; she could not be reached. Most of all, Gerry enjoyed the time surrounded by her family creating memories that they will cherish as her legacy.

Gerry is the beloved wife of the late Walter; loving mother of Richard(Kim)Hughes, Danny (Betty Ann) Hughes, & Kelly (Alan Gibbons) Murphy, Walter (Takako) Schenberger, Jr., Mark Schenberger, dear sister of Daniel Burke, Charlie Burke, Dennis Burke, Nubby Burke and the late Mary Rumaker; grandmother of 16; great grandmother of 1.
Farewell Tribute
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Gerry's viewing on Wednesday after 8:30 AM in the McGUINNESS FUNERAL HOME, 34 Hunter Street, Woodbury. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 AM in Holy Angels Parish at St. Matthew's R. C. Church, 4th & Monument Streets, National Park. Interment will follow at New Saint Mary's Cemetery, Bellmawr. Memorial contributions in Gerry's memory may be made to Angelic Healthcare Hospice, 1050 Mantua Pike, First Floor, Wenonah, NJ 08090.
