Obituary of Marie A. Hendrix
Marie A. (nee Baranowski)Hendrix, 94, of Oak Valley, NJ passed away suddenly on Saturday, January 8, 2022.
Legacy
Born and raised in Philadelphia, PA, Marie moved to the Oak Valley section of Deptford Township, NJ on December 27, 1957. In her younger years, Marie was employed by Fords Bakery and then Chesterman's Surgical Supply in the Fishtown section of Philadelphia.
After she met the love of her life, George C. Hendrix and started a family, her most important titles became wife and mother. She was completely devoted and took so much pride in her home and her family. Her life was made up of wonderful memories with their family vacations and gatherings. When family and friends came to their home, they were greeted with the incredible smells of Marie’s cooking. and baking. Marie was a true lady...she dressed to the nines and considered her hair her crown of glory; never missed her weekly Thursday appointments. She had a special bond with her nieces and nephews and they knew that Aunt Marie was always there for them. Marie was a blessing to those who knew her with her kind nature, positive outlook on life and her ability to always see the silver lining in all situations. In her spare time, Marie loved to spend time at the casinos playing the slot machines, trying her luck with the lottery and going to share a special meal at her favorite restaurant, The Crab Trap.
