Obituary of Dennis Headley

Dennis B. Headley, 69, of Mullica Hill, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 23, 2022, at home surrounded by his loving Arc Gloucester group home family. 

Legacy

He was born on March 2, 1952, and although he did not reside at The Arc Gloucester Iredell Group Home for very long, he made an indelible mark on everyone he met! Dennis spent his days enjoying life side by side his 2 housemates surrounded by unconditional love and laughter. Dennis attended Franklinville Achievement Center where he was known for his great, big smile, and never missing an opportunity to dance and loved socializing with peers.

Dennis's love for music could be seen immediately when anyone turned it on, and he began dancing! He loved coloring, baseball, baking brownies (of course always trying to lick the bowl), and afternoon soap operas when he returned from day program. Dennis will forever be remembered as someone who brought a beautiful light to the world and to The Arc Gloucester, which will forever remain. 

Fairwell Tribute

A graveside service will be held on Monday, January 31, 2022 at the Land of Canaan Cemetery, 680 Fairview Road, Elk Twp., NJ 08028.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Dennis' name may be made to The Arc Gloucester, 1555 Gateway Blvd. West Deptford, NJ 08096.
