Obituary of Barbara Dembowski

Barbara Ann Dembowski (nee Phelps), 62 , of Tampa, Florida and formerly of National Park, New Jersey, passed away peacefully with family on Tuesday, February 15, 2022. 

Legacy

She was born in Woodbury, NJ, she raised her family in National Park and became a nurse for 35 wonderful years.  She enjoyed spending time in Cape May, reading on the beach, looking at the ocean and fishing with her son Brian and grandson Brendan.  She enjoyed teaching Ally how to drive.  She loved going out with Michael, Sr. and Michael Jr. on his boat and jet skiing.  One of her favorite times was when they all went snowmobiling in New York with her grandson Michael III.  Most of all she loved being with her family and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Family

Barbara is the beloved wife of the late Al Dembowski;  devoted mother of Brian Phelps (Susan) and Michael Bukenas, Jr.  Treasured grandmother of Allyson, Brendan and Michael III.  Daughter of the late Robert and Marie Phelps.  Dear sister of Marie Bunn (Paul), the late Robert Phelps (Patty), Nancy Wells (Jimmy), Michael Phelps (Karen), Patricia Carney (Joe), Kip Phelps (Matt Hilbert) and Marguerite Falls (Ray).  She will be missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and extended family.

Farewell Tribute

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her visitation on Monday February 21st from 6:00PM to 8:00PM and February 22nd from 9:00AM to 10:30AM in the McGuinness Funeral Home - Woodbury, 34 Hunter Street, Woodbury, NJ 08096.  Funeral Service at 10:30AM.  Interment will be private by the request of the family. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude's Place Memphis TN 38105-www.stjude.org.
