Obituary of Nancy Lee Buckley

***Due to a Family Emergency, the Public gathering on Friday evening has been canceled and Saturday morning has been limited to immediate family.  Viewing will be held from 10-11 am  and the Funeral Ceremony will be celebrated at 11 am. On March 11, 2022 Nancy Lee Buckley (nee Ristine) aged 88 years of Washington Township, went home to be with the Lord.

Legacy

A self-taught person, Nancy had a love for writing and research. She was an avid reader who enrolled in college in her forties, making the dean’s list several times.

Nancy also demonstrated a flair for the creative, displayed in her home decorating and gardening. Every year she transformed her house, inside and out, into a magical Christmas wonderland.

For years, Nancy had a custom drapery business, which ranged from concept and design to production and installation. Besides being an excellent seamstress, she also enjoyed crocheting.

She loved music and dancing, bowling, bingo, card and video games, Nancy was an excellent cook and baker; no meal was complete without a homemade dessert!

Aside from her numerous hobbies and talents, Nancy had a true love for her “furry friends,” where all strays were welcome. Above all, however, she was most passionate about her family. Her life revolved around her husband, children, grandchildren and great grand- children. She possessed a caring, nurturing, compassionate heart. She taught her children the importance of family closeness and genuine love. Nancy’s loving spirit and warm smile will be greatly missed.

Family

She was the beloved wife of William Howard Buckley III (deceased); Devoted mother of Teri Cayia (Tom), Steve Buckley (Joanne), Bill Buckley (Toni), April Jaruszewski (John) Janis Bordi (Michael); loving grandmother of 14 and great-grandmother of 21.

Nancy is pre deceased by her sisters Janet and Marilyn and brothers Richard and Charles.
