Howard was like Family. I've worked with him for over 10 years in the Arc Gloucester, and his presence is going to be missed enormously. I was completely shocked when I received the news, and i hope that he is at peace and no longer in pain. It's never easy losing the people we love and care about, and while I may have been a paid Care Giver, Howard was more than just an Individual I worked with. He was Family. I spent more time with him over the last 10+ years than I ever got to with my own family.
He drove me crazy every chance he had, but was always quick to grab your arm and come in for a bear hug. He was there with me through some of the happiest times of my life, and through some of the biggest tragedies. His loss is a profound one that will be with me for a very long time. I'll miss him asking about my "old man", my dad. That was one of the first things out of his mouth everyday I saw him for the last 10 years. I will Always love you Howard, my buddy till the end. Fly high and be at Peace.
