Helen E. Jordan

April 8, 1940 - May 13, 2022

 

Helen E. Jordan (Smith), of Deptford, NJ passed peacefully at her home surrounded by family.

 

Legacy

 

Helen was raised in the Tinicum area of Philadelphia until moving to Deptford with her husband, Joseph.

 

Helen will be remembered as being a HUGE Phillies fan. She never missed a game. She had so much knowledge of the team/players, she could have been the manager.

She enjoyed life being close to home, gardening, crocheting, crafting, decorating for the holidays, back yard parties and cooking 

"Nanny's Chicken" for her grand-daughters. Vacations were spent down the shore in Wildwood and Cape May where she developed her dark summer tan. Christmas was her favorite holiday along with watching the Mummers Parade on New Year's Day where she would sit with pad and pen scoring the bands. Helen loved music and dancing, especially doing the Jitterbug with her Joey.

 

Family

 

She is the beloved wife of 50 beautiful years to the late Joseph Jordan; loving mother of Jo Ann Hanson & her late husband George, and Barbara Jordan. Devoted & loving grandmother to Brianna and Nicole Hanson and several grand-pets, Dear sister of the late William Smith.
