Obituary of James Michael Caruso
James M. Caruso, 64, of Philadelphia, PA, passed away on Friday, May 20, 2022, surrounded by his loving family.
Legacy
Born and raised in the Fairmount section of Philadelphia, James was a parishioner at St. Frances Xavier Roman Catholic Church. Until a year ago, James and his wife Michele were residents of Wissinoming for 30 years and long time parishioners of St. Bartholomew Church. Prior to retiring, James was owner and operator of Caruso Quality Painting.
A selfless, loyal and fun loving guy, James always put others needs before his own. He was a mentor to many and a saving grace to others. With his goofy sense of humor and fun loving ways, James had a way of making others feel at ease any situation seem lighter. Children were drawn to him and he talked and played at their level.
James enjoyed going to the movies but his passion was music and playing guitar. It touched everyone’s heart and brought a smile to those listening. Another passion was coffee….coffee was a way of life and WaWa was his coffee of choice.
He was one of a kind…great family man and was devoted to them. Spending time with them was more important than anything. A favorite time was Sunday afternoons watching the Eagles. James will be truly missed by family and friends.
