I admired so many of Sally's qualities- she was strong, honest, straightforward and caring. I see the same qualities in her daughter, my dear friend Elaine, and in her grandchildren. Sally will be missed but the lessons she taught and the love she shared will live on.

Mrs Jordan was a wonderful kind lady, a beautiful person, and great coach. I will never forget my first hockey camp and her being in the same cabin with all her girls. She made it such a great experience for all of us. After graduation I would often run into her at Oyster dinners, around town or at field hockey games and she was alwaysx happy to see you and talk. My daughter and I were talking about her a few days ago as I was remembering her as my health Ed teacher and how she made it an enjoyable and inclusive class for all. She was just so kind

Elaine and Bobby,
I was saddened to hear of Aunt Sally's passing. She had such a wonderful and positive outlook on life. I always enjoyed visiting her and Uncle Roy over the years. I am so glad we were able to get together for lunch the last time we were out in Woodbury. Attached is a photo from that day. Mary and I send our sincerest condolences. Matt

Dear Elaine and Bobby, It saddened me to hear of the loss of your dear mother. She was the type of woman that everyone should aspire to be. She was kind, compassionate, competitive, hard working and most of all loved her family. I never realized that when we ,as young ladies, were playing sports in South Jersey that it was the beginning of an era for women's sports. As I moved around the country and met many ladies my age, they were surprised that we had organized sports for women in the 60's. And we were privileged to have such a wonderful coach in Mrs. Jordan. She was a pioneer!
Even though she went through many trials in her personal life with loosing a son and helping her husband through his health issues, etc. she was always a positive person.
I felt as if she truly cared for each individual on her teams. Since my parents couldn't relate to my love of sports she would drive me to some tennis tournaments. She was like a proud parent to all of us!
Every Christmas I would look forward to her hand written letters in her Christmas Cards which I will sadly not receive this year. I guess I thought she would live forever. There aren't too many people who have touched as many lives sash has. She was truly one of the angels in my life. Thank you for sharing her with all of us! It deeply saddens me that I live so far and am unable to honor her at her service. My prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time.

I am so sad and sorry to learn about the passing of Mrs. Jordan. I first met her as a child at Greenfields Swim Club. She then went on to become my PE and Health teacher and my field hockey and tennis coach. She was a mentor to me and one of the main reasons I followed in her footsteps to also become a PE teacher. I wanted to show young girls that you could be both feminine and athletic, just as she had shown me. I will be forever grateful for the positive role model that she was.

Dear Family,
What a wonderful lady, teacher, and friend to all! I just started attending West Deptford Jr/Sr High School in September 1966 as a seventh grader (c/o ‘72)…scared to death of the new environment. Walked in to my home room and was wonderfully greeted by the kindest and warmest young female gym teacher I would come to highly admire to this day! How blessed we students were to have experienced being taught and coached by Mrs. Jordan. Even over the years I was anxious to greet and be greeted by her at local events and the chicken salad and oyster suppers at the firehouse and church. I even asked my sister-in-law, who worked for the Heritages, about her during casual conversation two weeks ago at Cap’n Cats. I hope Mrs. Jordan’s ears were ringing as we fondly spoke about her!
My sincerest condolences to the family and friends of one WONDERFUL woman…Sally Jordan! She definitely earned her wings!
God bless,
Scott Hilbmann

Mrs. Jordan was my high school coach for four years. In school I had a hard time and sports was my savior, Mrs Jordan always had my back. She even had a bet with another teacher about me, of course she won. I am so grateful for all the support she gave me. She was a very special teacher and wondered person. My deepest sympathy to her family. I, Cookie will miss her.

Mrs. Jordan was a part of my life since I was a little girl. I watched her at St. Paul's lead Sunday School singing, coordinate our Sunday School, VBS, Bazaar, Church Supper, and even be my Sunday School teacher.
She was part of the reason I became a Physical Education teacher. Little did I ever imagine that I would eventaully teach with her. I respected her as a great role model - her enthusiasm and dedication to her profession made her such a great teacher. However, over the years, she became a wonderful friend and inspiration. She will be greatly missed. May she rest in peace, and I am sure she was welcomed home with "job well done, my good and faithful servant".
