Obituary of Ella M. Baldwin

Ella M. Baldwin (nee Bates), 79, of Hopewell Township, New Jersey, passed away on Monday, July 11, 2022 surrounded by her loving family.

Legacy

Ella was born and raised in Paulsboro, New Jersey.  Ella and Daniel H. Lounsberry married in National Park and raised their four daughters.  Ella was also a resident of Woodstown and for the last eight years, Hopewell Township.

A humble, generous and loving woman, Ella was devoted to her faith and her family.  If there was anything to bring a smile to Ella’s face, it was spending time with her children and grandchildren.  She was strong willed and always managed to get what she wanted.  She enjoyed painting, writing poems, camping and dancing.  A family event was not complete without everyone joining Ella on the dance floor to “We Are Family.”  She loved bowling and betting on the ponies.  Watching the Kentucky Derby, cheering on the Phillies and supporting the string band were also favorites of Ella’s.

Beloved wife of the late Daniel H. Lounsberry and James Edgar Baldwin; devoted mother of E. Lynn (Donald) Heritage, Sandra (William) Clemmens, Danielle (Matthew) McAllister and Suzanne (John) Kiger; loving grandmother of Michelle, Amanda, Leah, Kyleigh and Andrew; dear sister of Rebecca Rivell and Ethel Valerio.  Ella is predeceased by her parents, Clarence and Rebecca (nee Miller) Bates, 4 brothers and two sisters.

Farewell Tribute

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Ella’s viewing on Saturday, July 16, 2022, 10:00 – 11:00 AM at the McGuinness Funeral Home, 34 Hunter Street, Woodbury, NJ where the Funeral Ceremony will follow at 11:00 AM.  Interment at Wenonah Cemetery, Mantua, NJ.

In keeping with Ella’s generous nature, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the charity of the donor’s choice.
