Obituary of Yoly M. Alamares

YOLY ALAMARES

December 23, 1950- July 29, 2022

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Yoly Masbate Alamares, 71. He is a resident of Sicklerville, New Jersey for the past seven years, but a native of Daraga, Albay, Philippines where he lived and eventually raised his family. He passed on peacefully on July 29, 2022, surrounded by his family at the Jefferson Washington Township Hospital, New Jersey.

Predeceased by his parents, Nemesio and Francisca Alamares, Brothers, Javier, Hermes and Jerry Alamares. Left with many beautiful memories of his loving wife of 47 years, Priscilla, his 3 children, Aileen (Christopher), Jo Lester, Phillip Raymond (Maria Socorro). He was a superLOLO to his 6 precious grandchildren whom he spoiled with love and affection, Carlos Andrei, Niño Gabriel, Louise Saimonette, Tim Roby, Nicole Ashley and Cyril Adriann. A loving brother to sisters Lilia, Tely, Belen and Merle. Also, to mourn are Brother-in-Laws and Sister-in-laws and a large family of nieces and nephews as well as grand nieces and nephews.

Yoly would always go above and beyond to assist anyone and would be supportive for the needs of his family and loved ones above his own. His home back in the Philippines was always open to friends, family, former employees and even strangers in need. He will be remembered as generous, kind, and entertaining to his friends and acquaintances. He loved listening to classic music and watching the news 24/7. He would never say no to a cup of ice cream. He also enjoys going down to beach and feel the breeze of the sea during summer. He will be missed by the staff where he buys lotto tickets almost every day. He may not win the million dollars, but he certainly won the hearts of everyone he meets.

He has fought a good fight and he will be missed dearly.

Farewell Tribute

A celebration of his life will be held at the McGuiness Funeral Home (573 Egg Harbor Road Sewell, NJ 08080, on Wednesday, August 3, 2022, at 9:00 to 11:00 in the morning. Service mass will follow at Our Lady of Hope (St. Agnes)-701 Little Gloucester Rd., Blackwood, NJ 08012 at 12:00 in the afternoon. Service will be livestreamed for those unable to attend.
