Obituary of Jeanne I Brown

Jeanne I Brown (Innes), 89, of Sewell, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 6, 2022.
 
Legacy
She was born in South Amboy, raised her family in Woodbridge, then retired to Sewell, New Jersey.  She received her BA at Georgian Court College and her Masters Degree at Rutgers University.  Jeanne was a wise and caring woman with a thirst for knowledge and an appreciation of the arts.  During her long professional librarian career, she worked in public, elementary school, high school and corporate libraries.  She enjoyed knitting (Irish Aran patterns), making her own clothing, watercoloring, crossword puzzles, and trips to the shore. She volunteered at the Red Cross and taught English as a Second Language classes.
    
Family
She is the beloved wife of the late Russell J. Brown.  Devoted mother of Gregory Brown (Ann) and Valerie Davis (John).  Treasured grandmother of Logan, Hope (Kevin), and Sarah-Charlotte.  Adored great-grandmother of Sloane and Maeve.  Daughter of the late Rose (nee Dewan) and Clarence Innes.  Dear sister of Judy Kuc (Jack).  Loving aunt to Jeff and John.  She will be deeply missed by family and friends. 
 
Farewell Tribute
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her visitation on Wednesday, August 17th from 10:00AM to 12:00PM in the McGuinness Funeral Home- (Washington Twp. Location), 573 Egg Harbor Road, Sewell, NJ 08080. Funeral Service at 12:00PM. Interment Hillcrest Memorial Park, Sewell, NJ. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Food Bank of South Jersey, 1501 John Tipton Blvd., Pennsauken, NJ 08110, www.foodbanksj.org.
