Obituary of Cheryl A. Nelson

Cheryl A. Nelson (nee Sims), 65, of Pennsville, New Jersey, passed away on Tuesday, September 20, 2022, surrounded by her loving family.

Legacy

Born in Camden, New Jersey, Cheryl was a longtime resident of West Deptford prior to moving to Paulsboro and then Pennsville.  Cheryl attended beauty school, and with her husband Morris, owned and operated Warwick Hair Salon in Stratford for many years.

Cheryl also attended culinary school and shared her love of cooking and baking.  You were very lucky if you were on the receiving end of one of her homemade goody baskets.  She was generous with her family, friends and neighbors and loved to share her baked good especially around the holidays.  Besides loving time spent with her family, cooking and baking, Cheryl enjoyed adding to her collections of owls. 

Family

Beloved wife of 35 years to Morris Nelson; devoted mother of Ernest "Mike" Nelson, Jenna L. Vallejo and the late Jonathan; cherished grandmother of Katiana and Bella; loving sister of Ralph (Marge) Sims, Ernie (Joanne) Sims, Marie (Robert) Zbikowski and Eleanor (Robert) Moellers.  Cheryl is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Farewell Tribute

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Cheryl's viewing on Monday, September 26, 2022, 9:00 - 10:00 AM at the McGuinness Funeral Home, 34 Hunter Street Woodbury, NJ  08096.  The Funeral Ceremony will follow at 10:00 AM.  Interment at New Saint Mary's Cemetery, Bellmawr, NJ.
