Obituary of Marie Elizabeth Bunn
Marie Elizabeth Bunn, 73, of Woodbury, New Jersey, passed away on Monday, October 17, 2022.
Legacy
"Cookie" as she was affectionately called by her family, was born in Port Chester, New York and raised in National Park. She has been a resident of Woodbury for the last 22 years. Prior to retiring in 1999, Cookie was a registered nurse. She worked in the PCU department at Cooper University Hospital for 20 years, then worked in home health care.
A strong-willed and generous woman, Cookie was devoted to her family. She was her grandchildren’s biggest fan and nothing made her smile more than spending time with them. She loved to reminisce about her childhood, recounting stories that would leave everyone with tears of laughter. Cookie enjoyed a good beach day in Ocean City, with a crime novel and a Diet Coke. She also loved tending to her flower garden, cooking the best marinara, listening to the Phillies games on sports radio, and caring for her dogs, Ziggy and Scout.
