Obituary of William W. Debes
William W. Debes, 64 years of Erial, Sicklerville, Glassboro, NJ, and most recently Fort Myers, FL, passed away on November 25, 2022, after being recently diagnosed with Esophageal cancer. Beloved husband of 38 years to his beautiful wife Lyn M. Debes (née DiGiorgio). Devoted father of Billy Debes Jr., Tara (Marty) Loiseau, Courtney Debes, and Kirsten (Dave) Hildebrandt, and wonderful “Pop” of Aaron Debes, David Hildebrandt, Jamie Loiseau, Alyssa Hildebrandt, and Kylie Loiseau. Dear brother of Debbie (John) Feldman & Dianne (Scott) Benton. He was predeceased by his parents, Bill and Rose Debes.
Bill was a 1976 graduate of Clearview Regional High School. He then went on to work for the US Postal Service as a carrier and supervisor for 30 years before taking an early retirement at the age of 50. He wanted to be able to relax and enjoy life. He absolutely loved to go on cruises and was always so happy to offer his advice and guidance when it came to cruising.
Bill was also an avid sports fan. He liked watching the Eagles and Phillies, as well as following high school sports, especially wrestling and softball, but he mostly enjoyed watching his kids and grandkids play sports. He coached baseball in Erial Little League and was a Varsity softball coach at Gateway High School. He took such pride in helping people whether it be in sports or in life. He was the type of person that would do anything for anyone. He had such an impact on everyone he encountered.
