Obituary of Carl G. Becese

Carl G. Becese, 91, of West Deptford, New Jersey, passed away on Friday, December 16, 2022.

Legacy

Born and raised in Wheeling, West Virginia, Carl would go on to marry Rose, his wife of 58 years. They settled in West Deptford, New Jersey in 1965. He was a proud Navy Veteran of the Korean War and served from 1948- 1968. Prior to retiring, Carl was a Director of Maintenance for the Jewish Geriatric Home in Cherry Hill, New Jersey.

A mild-mannered, easy-going gentleman with a great sense of humor, Carl was a wonderful role model for his family, friends, and colleagues. He was self-disciplined and had the patience of a saint and his children and grandchildren learned so many life lessons from him and will be able to pass these lessons on. In his spare time, Carl enjoyed bowling, golfing, tending to his yard, winters in Florida, volunteering at Phillies games, and gathering for family meals. Carl treasured the time spent with his grandchildren, who will cherish memories of their Pappy and smile when they think of him.

Family

Beloved husband of the late Irma Rose (nee Boehm); devoted father of Katherine Anne (Eoin) Kinnarney, Rose Ellen (Paul) Goldy and Karl Eric Becese; loving grandfather of Ian (Melissa), Liam, Sean, Alex, Emily and cherished great grandfather of Mia Rose.

Farewell Tribute

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Carl's viewing on Thursday, December 29, 2022, 9:00 - 10:00 AM at the McGuinness Funeral Home, 34 Hunter Street Woodbury, NJ where the Funeral Ceremony will follow at 10:00 AM. Interment and Military honors at Gloucester County Veteran Memorial Cemetery, Williamstown, New Jersey.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to NJ Veterans Memorial Home at Vineland Welfare Fund 524 North West Boulevard, Vineland NJ 08360; in memo In memory of Carl Becese; ATTN:  Life Enrichment Department.
