Dear Mrs. Murtaugh I want to thank you for accepting me into your family. It certainly was an honor. When my mom passed you told me that you would be my mom. It was a wonderful gesture and you certainly went out of your way to make it happen. I will definitely miss you.

As Rae’s hospice nurse, I always looked forward to my visits with her. She took every moment to express her appreciation to us (the hospice team) and always expressed her gratitude and appreciation to her daughters who were always at her bedside for the care they provided. It was nice to see her laughing with them. You could feel the love in the room. I always considered myself an honorary Dtr in the Murtaugh home! Rae was more than a patient she was like visiting a friend. Rest In Peace Lisa.

Rae Murtaugh was a great lady. She had the ability to make everyone she knew feel special, and that’s a rare gift indeed. She will be missed and the world is a little less bright without her.
