Obituary of Giuseppina Marsala

Giuseppina Marsala (Ruffino), passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 21, 2023.  She was 85.

Legacy

Giuseppina was born and raised in Carini, Sicily, Italy.  Although she only had an 8th grade education, she was very intelligent and skilled.  In Carini, she taught the children vocabulary, reading & writing.  She earned her certificate in the art of sewing and was very proud of her accomplishment.  In 1973, after marrying the love of her life, Salvatore, the whole family moved to Center County Pennsylvania.  In 1979, they opened up the family business in Quakertown,  Pizza Randa.  This is where everyone in town hung out, especially the Marsala family.  She helped run the business and was always running the kitchen!

Family

She is the beloved Wife of the late Salvatore; loving mother of Carmela Marsala Griffo (Joseph) & Joseph Marsala (Susan); cherished grandmother of Joshua Marsala, Julia Griffo, Dr. Adam Marsala & Claudia Griffo; dear sister of Maria Stella Marsala and sister-in-law to Vito Marsala, both in Carini, Sicily, Italy.  Special Aunt to Stella Randazzo, Joseph “Pino” Ruffino, Franco Ruffino, Mariella Merenda (Goddaughter), Salvatore Marsala, Joseph “Pino” Marsala & Carmela Marsala.

Farewell Tribute

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her visitation at the McGuinness Funeral Home, 573 Egg Harbor Road, Sewell, NJ  08080 on Friday, January 27, 2023,  from 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM.  Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 AM at St. Charles Borromeo R.C. Church, 176 Stagecoach Rd., Sicklerville, NJ.  Entombment will follow at Perkasie Mausoleum, Perkasie, PA.
