Terri's mom and my dad were siblings. Our grandparents had 5 others, 7 children in total so there were lots of cousins. One memory I have of Terri was me asking her how she scratched her head under all that tall hair. She told me she used a pencil. That was fascinating to me and also very practical. I remember her working at Sears and the smell of the candy/nut counter that wafted through the entire store. We didn't "play" much together because she was 12 years older than me, but I have memories of her from James Street, Echo Road and Case Street, family homes where we would gather for special occasions or for no reason at all. Terri was one of the older and cooler cousins that were past the stage of playing tag, hide-and-seek, king-of-the-mountain, what's your occupation? and other games with us younger grandchildren. Lori, I remember visiting your parents shortly after you were born. They lived somewhere off of Hillsborough Road in a small apartment. Your mom was frantic because she had fallen asleep while holding you in a rocking chair and you had slipped from her arms onto the floor. You were okay and my parents were able to calm her down. As I watched the video it stirred many memories for me of days gone by. Those were precious days. So are these. I pray comfort and peace for you all. Your wound is fresh and raw, and your heart will always be sore, but as time passes it will reveal as much, if not more, as it heals and the memories will make you smile again. I am hugging you from NC where Wes and I give you our deepest sympathy.
