Obituary of Philip M. Sacchetti
Philip M. Sacchetti, of West Deptford, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 9, 2023. He was 81.
Legacy
Philip was born and raised in Camden, NJ and moved to West Deptford in 1974 to raise his family. He was a graduate of Camden High School, class of 1960. Following High School, Phil became a Boilermaker, and was part of the Boilermakers Local 13 Union in Philadelphia, PA, until retiring in 2001.
He was an amazing husband, dad and adored his grandchildren.
"Butch" always had a story & joke for everyone, and the friend you wanted as a "Professional Ball-Breaker" on your side! He loved his cars, especially his 1941 Willys. Cars were not his only passion, he also loved his boats, and drove them fast, to say the least. He loved his Miller High Life, fishing, eating crabs and shooting pool. Phil loved spending time with his grandchildren and vacationing with his wife, June in Florida. He looked forward to seeing his friends at the retirement lunches on Tuesdays at the Corner Bar. He will sorely be missed by all who knew him.
Family
He is the beloved husband of 56 years to June (Hentz) Sacchetti; devoted father of Philip Sacchetti, Maria Sacchetti (Greg Staryeu), Gina Sacchetti (Douglas Miller) and the late Pete Sacchetti; best grandpop to Hadden, Philip, Kelan; dear brother to Diane Micoli (Russ) and the late John Sacchetti (Cathy); adored uncle to Christina (Dan), Andrew and Kelly (Joe)
