Obituary of Joann Cruz

Joann Cruz, 61, of Camden, New Jersey, passed away on Wednesday, March 15, 2023. 

 

Legacy

Joann dedicated her life to being the best mother to her children, and her community! Her children will tell you she found joy in cooking for her family and neighbors; if there was food to give out…she gave it out! She would bring you in with her stand-out eyes and freckles, but kept you with her friendship and food! Joann could make a friend anywhere with her charismatic conversations, enthusiasm to stay busy and drive to have all the newest and most up to date trends. Don’t worry though; as much as Joann loved the people surrounding her, she took time for herself. You could find her in Atlantic City at least twice a week, somewhere between the beach and the casinos. If she wasn’t there, you can find her shopping for herself or her family!

Family

Joann not only leaves us with great memories and a big heart, but a big family as well! She is the beloved wife of Jesus Torres. Daughter of Carmen Santiago and Pedro Pagan Sr. Loving sister to Virginia and Pedro Jr.  Devoted mother to Angel Cruz, Albert Gutierrez, Paula Johnson (Jacob), Andrianna Cuadrado, Ashley Cuadrado, Ashton Cuadrado and Johnathon Cruz. An unforgettable grandmother to Kayla Shyann Cruz, Jaylynn Cruz, Angel Cruz III, Jacob Thi Johnson Jr, Selena Aria Johnson, Laylah Martinez, Amiyah Martinez, LeMelo Martinez and Jayden Cuadrado. Dear great grandmother to Malaiki Giovanni Joseph Martinez.
