Obituary of Laura Ahern

Laura Ahern, (nee O'Hara) of Laurel Springs, New Jersey, passed away on Thursday, March 16, 2023. She was 65.

Legacy

Laura was a devoted wife, mother, sister, and amazing "Mammy." Laura was born in Montpelier, VT and from an early age possessed a nurturing personality. She was sweet, kind, giving, and a maternalistic woman. She was one of seven children and helped raise her younger siblings.

Laura will be fondly remembered as a sweet, loving and caring woman who enjoyed summers at the Jersey shore, vacations with family, and all things Disney. Laura was a die hard Philly Sports fan, especially the Flyer's, and she always cheered her teams on through the great and not so great seasons.

Laura's children were the center of her world and she spent countless hours supporting and cheering on their athletic teams. She was a caretaker by nature and will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Family

Laura is the beloved Wife of Timothy; cherished mother of Timothy Ahern, Lauren (Joseph) Dunbar and Megan Ahern; dear sister of Timothy (Kitty), Gerald (Dawn), Patrick (Michele), Sean (Tracey), O'Hara, Karen (Michael) DiBeneditto & the late Martin O'Hara; dear "Mammy" of Ella, Declan & Lennon Dunbar. Laura is predeceased by her parents, Martin O'Hara & Barbara (nee Opp) O'Hara-Haun.

Farewell Tribute

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Laura's visitation at 10:00 AM on Saturday, March 25, 2023 in the McGuinness Funeral Home, 573 Egg Harbor Road, Washington Twp. (Sewell) where her Funeral Ceremony will follow at 12 Noon. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery, Chews Landing. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network by visiting www.pancan.org.
