My big cousin Dee! She was very close with my mom her Aunt Mae - I can only imagine how excited my mom was at 10 to become an aunt to the first niece born in the Kaufmann family.
They remained close and Dee was always my grown up cousin until we were both pregnant at the same time I was 23 she was a ripe old 36 (I remember thinking that) This definitely brought us close together as we were both having our first babies. Turned out we both had girls. I know Amber was yearned for when Dee was just a little girl herself and she got her girlie!
Dee always made a fuss over all her cousins and all the next generation of baby cousins born. She loved the Halloween parties we had with all her aunts being silly and dressing up.
When I was still little she and Arnold lived on Hickory Place my same street and they were besties with Mae and Rudy! Fond cousins memories.
