Obituary of Bruce A. Wallace
Bruce A. Wallace, 77, of Washington Twp., New Jersey, went to be with his loving wife on Tuesday, June 13, 2023.
Legacy
Big Bruce was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather and friend. He would do anything for his family and friends, his heart of gold made him loved by all. The highlight of his life was watching his kids and grandchildren play sports, he loved to go to their events. In his early years he was a proud graduate of Collingswood High School Class of 1964 and Winona State College Class of 1969, where he cherished many lifelong friendships. Then went on and became a member of the United States Army, where he achieved US Army Combat Engineer Officer School in 1970, US Army command and General Staff College in 1992 and retired as Lieutenant Colonel in 1994. He retired from UPS in 2008, working majority of the time in Industrial Engineering. After his retirement he went on to enjoy occupations at Rapid Rover and NJ Transit. He loved to watch the Phillies, Clemson, and the Eagles which he was a season ticket holder for 50 years. He enjoyed going to the Jersey shore and eating Mack's pizza.
Family
He is the beloved husband of the late Eileen T. Wallace (nee Bittner). Devoted father of Mark (Kara) Wallace, Scott (Phoebe) Wallace and Kristin (Joshua) Bradford. Adored grandfather of Jake, Kyle, Kevin, Brooke, Lainey, Kaia, Zakary, and Emily. Predeceased by his parents Martha (nee Krum) and William Wallace, also brothers William (Treva) and Robert (Frances). He will be greatly missed by family, extended family and friends.
Farewell Tribute
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Monday, June 19th from 8:00AM to 11:00AM at the McGuinness Funeral Home (Washington Twp. Location) 573 Egg Harbor Road, Sewell, NJ 08080. Funeral Mass to follow at 12:00PM in St. Charles Borromeo R. C. Church, 176 Stagecoach Road, Sicklerville, NJ. Interment New St. Mary's Cemetery Bellmawr, NJ.
