Obituary of Peter G Broderick

Peter Gerard Broderick, 60, passed away on July 16th, 2023 after a long battle with pancreatic cancer despite how bravely he faced this disease every single day. He was a resident of Williamstown, NJ and grew up in Brentwood, NY. As a native Long Islander, he was a devoted Met fan, family Scrabble champion, and the best husband, brother, and uncle. A proud Broderick, he was one of fourteen children, uncle to twenty-one, and great-uncle to many more. He was an accomplished business-owner of over thirty years where he worked alongside his twin brother, Paul, everyday. He loved camping in North Lake with his family and annual Broderick golf trips where he could give anyone a run for their money. His sarcastic sense of humor and sharp wit will never be forgotten. Thank you for the memories, Pete—you will always keep us laughing.

He is survived by his wife Barbara of 33 years who loved him more than life itself and twin brother Paul who both supported him through every day of this battle for as long as time allowed, his brothers Stephen, Michael, Kevin, Timothy, Charles, Joseph, Christopher, William, John and sister Beth, and his many nieces and nephews whom he adored. He joins his parents Gertrude and James and brothers James and Thomas in heaven–the warmest welcome for a man taken too soon.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Peter Broderick may be made to Pancreatic Cancer Action Network. Memorial Mass will be held at 10:30AM on Saturday, September 23, 2023 at St. Luke’s Roman Catholic Church in Brentwood, NY.
