Legacy
We are sad to announce the passing of a true hero - Frank Mederos. He passed away at home surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, July 23, 2023 at the age 76.
Frank was the epitome of a family man. He loved his wife Chris Ann and his boys Frank and Michael with his whole heart. He originally hailed from Cuba, Quanabacoa, Havana where he learned to fish at a young age from his grandfather. Frank continued to be an avid outdoorsman throughout his life. Frank fought hard for everything he believed in life which led him to the US in 1967 at the age of 19. Frank is the protagonist of two books written about his life and escape from Communist Cuba “The Boy who said no” and “Stalked”.
Family
Frank raised his family in Lincoln Park, NJ before settling in South Jersey with his Wife and Boys. Everyone who ever meet him loved and cherished him. He is survived by his wife Chris Ann Mederos (née Bacmeister), his loving children, Frankie, Michael and Jeannie Madosky (née Mederos), son-in-law James Madosky and grandchildren Alyssa and James Jr., Mother Ela Camejo and siblings Raul, Carlos, Roberto, Jorge, Irma and their spouses and many beloved nieces and nephews. He will be so very missed.
