Obituary of Edward F Paul

Edward F. Paul, Jr. of Gloucester, New Jersey, passed away on Tuesday, August 22, 2023. He was 77.

Legacy

Ed was a lifelong resident of Gloucester City and graduated from St. Mary's R. C. School, Class of 1960, Gloucester Catholic Class of 1964 and then earned his Bachelor's Degree in 1968 from Villanova University. He worked as a Registered Municipal Accountant and spent 37 years of his career with Ball, Buckley & Seher, LLP.

Ed devoted his time away from work to his community and was a Volunteer Fireman for Gloucester City Fire Department, West Collingswood Heights Fire Department where he was Deputy Fire Chief. Ed also served as Deputy Fire Marshall for Haddon Twp. and was Treasurer of the Gloucester City FIreman's Relief Association and Lifetime Trustee of the Camden County Hero Scholarship Fund. Recently, Ed was part of a monthly gathering of the Gloucester Catholic Class of 1964 Men's Club which he thoroughly enjoyed reconnecting with old friends and colleagues.

He will be fondly remembered as an outgoing, generous man who was passionate about his beloved Phillies, and Eagles through the great and not so great years. Ed was also a valued customer of Amazon throughout this life. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved this special man.

Family

Ed is the beloved husband of the late Diana (nee Hampton); loving father of Edward F. Paul III (Suzanne), Shawn H. Paul (Anjanette) and the late Randell "Bennie" Paul. Grandpop to Justin, Zackary, Jon, Brett & Alex & Great Pop Pop Bean to Mason.

Farewell Tribute

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Ed's viewing on Saturday, September 2, 2023 after 10 AM in the McGUINNESS FUNERAL HOME, 34 Hunter Street, Woodbury where his Funeral Ceremony will follow at 12 Noon.
