Obituary of Ambrose N. Dalo

Ambrose “Andy” Nicholas Dalo, Senior Master Sergeant, passed away at age 94, peacefully surrounded by family on September 3, 2023.

Legacy

Andy was born in Hazelton, PA on July 10, 1929, and spent his adult years in Southern NJ. At a young age, Andy began working in Nicholas Dalo, his father’s, bakery until he was drafted in the United States Army (1951-1953). When his tour ended he proudly enlisted in the United States Air Force (1953-1973). Following his military service, he worked for over 17 years at Hahnemann University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. He retired as a Business Administrator.  Andy enjoyed a long and healthy retirement spending lots of time with family, having gatherings at his pool, engaging people in conversation, going out to eat, and watching old movies.

Family

Beloved husband of the late Eulalie (Pennay) Dalo.  Loving brother to Joan (late Larry) Libonate, Annette (late Michael) Cannon, Rosemary (Dominic) Bianco & the late Anne (Joseph) Shershen, Gloria (Hugh) Grier.   Father of William (Elaine) Soulliard & Betty Jeanne (Bruce) Tepper & the late Leonard Soulliard, Ruth Ann Johnson & Joni Thomas.  Andy was greatly loved by his grandchildren Daniel (Amy) Soulliard, Matthew (Jessica) Soulliard, Jonathan Soulliard, Richard Klein & Julie (Michael) Welde.  He was adored by his great-grandchildren, Evee Soulliard, Emmeline Soulliard, Theodore Soulliard, Quinn Welde & Mayla Welde.

Farewell Tribute

Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation at the McGuinness Funeral Home, 573 Egg Harbor Road, Sewell, NJ 08080, on Saturday, September 23, 2023, from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM.  Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 AM.  Inurnment with military honors will follow in Gloucester County Veterans Memorial Cemetery 240 N Tuckahoe Road, Williamstown, NJ 08094.
