Obituary of Mary Ellen Travaline

Mary Ellen Travaline (nee Eppley), aged 81, of Woodbury Heights, New Jersey, went to her heavenly home on Monday, September 11, 2023.

Legacy

Mary Ellen was a faithful woman who loved the Lord, her family, church, and community. She was a devoted and nurturing mother, a doting grandmother, a beloved sister-in-law and cousin, a cherished aunt, and a steadfast friend. Her heart's delight was found in her family, particularly the tender moments spent with her grandchildren. Together with her husband, she enjoyed sailing, Sports mobile camping, and extensive travel across the United States and throughout Europe. She expressed her creativity through music and watercolor painting. She devoted her life to service and was a leader in many charitable and church-related organizations. She was always creating positive change, advocating for the poor, and reaching out to those in need.

Family

Mary Ellen was the wife and soul mate of Richard J. Travaline in a union of profound love that spanned 48 beautiful years. Her nurturing spirit extended to her devoted daughters, Lisa Stammerjohann (Rick) and Lynne Golias (Joe.) Her legacy continues through her loving grandchildren, Katie, Paul, Henry, and Heidi. Mary Ellen was the beloved daughter of the late Frances and Harry Eppley. She will be profoundly missed by her extended family and a wide circle of dear friends.

Farewell Tribute

Relatives and friends are invited to honor her memory by attending her viewing on Thursday, September 14th, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and Friday, September 15th, from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM in the McGuinness Funeral Home (Woodbury Location), 34 Hunter Street, Woodbury, NJ 08096.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, September 15th, at 11:00 AM at the Infant Jesus Parish within St. Margaret's RC Church, 3rd & Beech Avenue, Woodbury Heights, NJ 08097. The final journey will lead to an interment at Lakeview Memorial Park, Cinnaminson, NJ.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Society of St. Vincent DePaul, 334 Beech Avenue, Woodbury Heights, NJ 08097. In paying homage to Mary Ellen's life, we continue to uplift those in need, embodying the compassionate spirit she so beautifully exemplified throughout her lifetime.
