I feel blessed to have spent a highlight in the life of Paul Mass with him. We went to the Georgia v Alabama national championship football game in Atlanta together in 2018. I was raised a Georgia Bulldog and Paul was a die hard Bama fan. Paul was in all his glory. We partied so hard the night before and he made friends with every Alabama fan in Buckhead. He was just being Paul. Happy, jovial, fun, excited, full of life, passionate about his team and a great friend to everyone around him. It felt like a major life mission had been checked off when bama won and Paul was there to see it.
Now fast forward a few years and we find ourselves at an Alabama v Tennessee game with me in bama gear and Paul wearing Tennessee gear. My daughter Jessica is at Bama and Natalie at Tennessee. We talked about what a turn of fate that was considering he was obligated to pull against bama and me for bama. We bonded over that. Nothing we wouldn’t do for our daughters.
I just loved Paul. He was a pleasure to be around. Always happy to see you and full of life. I’m going to miss him. Rest in peace buddy
