Obituary of Irene Glenn

Irene Sophia Glenn (nee McMullen), 70, of Williamstown, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 27th, 2023.

Irene was a loving and caring wife, a devoted mother, a proud grandmother, and cherished sister.  Born in South Philadelphia, she married her high school sweetheart John.  They moved to South Jersey where they raised their son John Jr.  Irene worked at a local supermarket as a deli manager and then as a receptionist at a hair salon. She enjoyed the beach, shopping, and most importantly spending time with her family. You could always hear the happiness in Irene’s heart with her laughter. 

Irene is the beloved wife of 49 years to John Glenn, mother to John Jr. (Renee), loving grandmother to Olivia and Jake, and the adored sister of Lisa Capone (Donald). She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews. She was  predeceased by her parents Francis and Gladys McMullen, brother Francis McMullen Jr. (and wife Susan).  

Friends and family are invited to attend her visitation on Wednesday, November 8th from 12PM to 2PM at McGuinness Funeral Home 573 Egg Harbor Rd, Washington Township, NJ 08080. A Christian service will immediately follow the visitation at McGuinness Funeral Home.
