Obituary of Alicia Urena

Alicia Urena of Woodbury, passed away on February 23, 2024 at the age of 82.

Born on May 25, 1941 in Guadalajara, Mexico. Growing up as an immigrant, Alicia aspired to achieve the American Dream. With her determination and humble personality, Alicia achieved that goal by becoming a caring mom to Damian and Cesar. She was a longtime employee of Underwood Memorial Hospital of 25 years. Known for her fiercely independent personality, Alicia loved going to the casino to play the slots, walk the boardwalk to see the ocean, and going to Red Bank Battlefield to watch the sunset.

Alicia will be remembered by her sons Damian (Cindy) Reyes and Cesar (Holly) Reyes, beloved grandmother of Gabrielle (Brandon), Morgan, Zachary, Hayden, and Rylee. Great-grandmother to Greyson and Arianna. Longtime friend of Linda Reinius, Mary Torino, and Ruth Kain.

Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate Alicia's life on Friday, March 1st, 2024 where a visitation will take place from 5-6pm in McGuinness Funeral Home, 34 Hunter Street, Woodbury, followed by a funeral service at 6pm.
