Obituary of Paul A Crotta
Paul A Crotta,of Sewell, and formerly of the Westmont section of Haddon Twp., New Jersey, passed away after a brief sudden illness on Tuesday, March 19, 2024 with his family by hi side. He was 77.
Legacy
Born in Jersey City, NJ and raised in North Caldwell, Paul graduated from West Essex High School before completing his Undergraduate Bachelors Degree at Montclair State University and earned his Masters Degree from Temple University in Physical Education. Paul spent more than 35 years in the Pennsauken School District as gym teacher, coach and mentor before retiring in 2007.
Paul shared 53 years of marriage with his wife, Dorothy who was a childhood neighbor while they were growing up. Together they raised three children and four grandchildren that complimented their love story. Paul will be remembered for his kind, outgoing personality who loved his family and was know for his quick wit. He was the President of the Phlock of South Jersey; a Jimmy Buffet "Parrot Head" fan club, a devoted fan of the Philadelphia Eagles and the New York Yankees. Paul was the family handyman, a genuine dog lover but a "terrible fisherman" according to his son. Paul will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Paul is the beloved husband for 53 years of Dorothy (nee Stasiak); loving father of Keith (Teresa) Crotta, Heather (Joe Coryell) Crotta and Scott Crotta; cherished brother of Barbara Thomas; dear grandfather of 4. Paul is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and friends.
Farewell Tribute
Paul's family will gather to celebrate his life on Monday, April 8, 2024 from 4: 00 to 6:00 PM in the McGUINNESS FUNERAL HOME, 573 Egg Harbor Road, Washington Twp. where everyone is encouraged to pay tribute to Paul by arriving in your favorite "Parrot Head", Eagles or Yankees attire to celebrate his life. A Celebration of Life Ceremony will follow at 6 PM in the Funeral Home. At the family's request, Paul's interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, Paul's family requests contributions to the charity of the donor's choice.
