Obituary of Joan Gallagher

Joan Marie Gallagher, of Clarksboro, New Jersey passed away on Sunday, April 21, 2024. She was 79.

Legacy

After graduating from Gloucester Catholic High School in 1962, Joan attended Gloucester County College and graduated from the Burlington County Police Academy and the South Jersey Professional School of Business. This colorful background of education allowed Joan to build multiple avenues of helping people. She was a founding member and charter member of the East Greenwich Ambulance Association. Joan held many titles in her time with them such as Secretary, Lieutenant, Captain and Vice President. She was also a member of the Haddonfield Police Department for 14 years, where Joan worked to establish PBA Local #294. She was also a member and previous president to the East Greenwich Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary. Recently Joan was the Den Mother of Cub Scout Troop #59 of East Greenwich Fire Company and a licensed insurance producer with Amber Insurance Services Inc. for over 12 years.

Family

She is the beloved mother to Leonard Sr. (Cindy), Mark Sr. (Susan) and the late Steven. Loving grandmother to Leonard Jr., Rachelle, (Christopher), Mark Jr. and Patrick. Adored Great Grandmother to Logan, Jack and Madelyn. Caring niece to Robert "Uncle Bob" Nicholls. Joan will be missed and remembered by several; nieces, nephews, friends and family.

Farewell Tribute

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her visitation on Tuesday, April 30th from 9:00AM to 10:15AM in the McGuinness Funeral Home - Woodbury Location, 34 Hunter Street followed by a Funeral Mass in Holy Angels Parish at St. Patrick's Church, 86 Cooper Street, Woodbury, NJ 08096 at 11:00 AM. Burial will commence at New Saint Mary's Cemetery at 515 W. Browning Road in Bellmawr.
