Obituary of Barbara Robinson

Barbara "Babs" Robinson (nee Torrance), 84, of Pitman, New Jersey, passed away suddenly, after a short illness on Thursday, April 25th.

Legacy

She graduated from Camden High School in 1957. She met the love of her life while working in Lit Brothers, Camden in 1957. They married on October 1, 1960 and had a wonderful life together for 63 years. They were parents of 2 fine sons Joe, Jr. & Ken. Barbara was a former CCD teacher at Incarnation Church in Mantua & former Eucharist Minister at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church in Pitman. She worked in retail for many years. She was a former member of the Philadelphia Dog Training Club, Southern New Jersey German Shepherd Dog Training Club, Lower Camden County Dog Training Club & Pinelands K-9 Dog club. Her greatest joy was when she opened her own Dog Grooming Shop. She was the 1st original owner of K-9 Kingdom in Mantua & then in Woodbury Heights. Her Specialty was Standard Poodles.

Family

Barbara is survived by her loving husband Joseph, dear son, Ken (Dawn), sisters Betty Sabo (Reds), Darlene Torrance (Dan), brother John Torrance (Sharon), predeceased by her son Joseph, Jr. and her parents Henry & Florence Torrance, brother Hank, Robert, twin sister Evy and sister Nancy. Loving grandmother of Mark, Chris, Samantha (Kyle), Brooke and Laura. Great grandmother of Colten, Travis, Lili, Mason, Connor and Lucien. She will be missed by family and friends.

Farewell Tribute

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing on Sunday, May 5th from 2:00PM to 4:00PM in the McGuinness Funeral Home (Woodbury Location), 34 Hunter Street, Woodbury, New Jersey 08096. Funeral Mass on Monday, May 6th at 11:00AM in Mary, Mother of Mercy Parish at Our Lady of Lourdes RC Church, 500 Greentree Road, Glassboro, New Jersey 08028. Interment to follow at Eglington Cemetery Clarksboro, NJ. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer Association www.alz.org/desjsepa or St. Jude's Hospital www.stjude.org.
